DR. PAT REDMOND
Owner/Manager – General Dentist
Dr. Redmond is co-owner/operator of Gander Family Dental Clinic, where he has practiced as a general dentist since 1995. Raised in rural Nova Scotia and a graduate of Dalhousie’s Doctor of Dental Surgery program, he practiced in the Canadian Armed Forces for three years before moving to Gander and opening his own practice. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and provides services including root canals, orthodontics, wisdom teeth extractions, veneers, dentures, and crown and bridge. Dr. Redmond and his wife Madonna have two daughters, and his hobbies include tennis, squash, skiing, fishing, and volunteering. Dr. Redmond is treasurer of the Newfoundland and Labrador Dental Association, President of Gander Community Tennis Association, a Director of Tennis Newfoundland, and has been involved in many local organizations such as the Gander Airport Authority, Gander Trailways Committee, and the Gander and Area Chamber of Commerce.
DR. MATTHEW QUINLAN
Dr. Quinlan is a general dentist practicing in Gander, Twillingate, and Grand Falls-Windsor. He was born and raised in St. John’s Newfoundland and completed his Bachelor of Science degree with honours at Memorial University in 2011. Upon completion of his science degree, Dr. Quinlan worked in the Department of Immunology at Memorial’s Faculty of Medicine and published in a number of peer-reviewed journals. In 2014, Dr. Quinlan started the Doctor of Dental Surgery program at Dalhousie University in Halifax. Throughout dental school, his strong work ethic and attention to detail earned him the Dr. W. H. H. Beckwith Prize for greatest proficiency in Clinical Operative Dentistry in 2017. Upon graduation, he returned home to practice as a general dentist at Gander Family Dental Clinic. While not practicing dentistry, Dr. Quinlan enjoys travelling, cooking, camping, reading, biking and spending quality time with his wife Shauna, twin boys, and friends.
DR. SABA AL-KHAFAJI
Dr. Saba is a general dentist practicing in Gander and Grand Falls-Windsor. She was born in Baghdad and graduated with a Bachelor degree in Dental Surgery from Baghdad University in 2003. She has been practicing general dentistry since 2003 in Baghdad and Abu Dhabi, then she moved to Canada and started practicing in 2017. Dr. Saba is interested in root canal treatment, extraction, general filling, crown and bridges, and pediatric treatment. She lives with her family in Lewisporte, and has two kids. In her free time she enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Ola Otomanski
Dr. Ola was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In 2010 she graduated from Acadia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Dalhousie University in 2016. Upon graduation she worked for two years in both Newfoundland and Labrador until her boyfriend was transferred to Ottawa in June 2018. During her time in Ottawa Dr. Ola worked in a private practice where she practiced all aspects of general dentistry. She also worked part time work at the Civic Hospital Dental Clinic where she was able to treat medically compromised patients. In 2020 Dr. Ola and her boyfriend decided to make the move back home to the East Coast. She is very excited to be back working in Newfoundland and looks forward to being a part of the community again. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages and strives to provide a positive experience while keeping them at ease. Outside of work, Dr. Ola loves spending time with her family, friends and dog, keeping busy with outdoor activities and sports.
